Bah, the ultimate in retarded is the short-throw shifter exclusion. It *might* save a nanosecond on that one shift into 2nd. The assine classes where in each you're nearly guaranteed to get slaughtered by one car is what put me off SCCA.

Club racing might as well be a Mazda benefit. For example, the SVT isn't legal in ITS but the SE is. They'd hate to interrupt the RX7 charity run they've had forever. And what happened when the Z4 started kicking the Miata's ass? Yep, MX5 owners pithced a hissy and had it excluded from the Runoffs.

I'm a member but the SCCA is a joke, and now they're sponsoring drifting! Drifting? It's a judgement sport! The SCCA is for nothing but lining the pockets of certain vested groups. The unfolding Trans-Am debacle proves it.

No wonder NASA is growing like mad.
