I have driven a 98 CSVT with a tired suspension and it was not a fun thing. Just driving straight was uncomfortable. Not from pull, just the overall ride was that bad.

I have also riden in a 99 CSVT with the BAT Euro kit with 17x7's covered with 215/45/17's. It was very nice and the lower profile of the tire did add some extra road feel, but I really liked that so...

If absolute performance is not needed, then I would say take the advice above and restore the car's suspension with stock components and you will be happy.

If you are looking to drive a little nastier then normal from time to time, I would say at the very least go with the BAT Kit and poly bushings. To go a single step further, go with the Bilsteins struts instead of the Euro struts.

And never underestimate a good set of tires for overall driving comfort. I say do one of the above and spend some of the left over money on a real good set of stock size tire's.
