I want to see what you all think is the most comfortable setup for the CSVT for long road trips, without sacrificing that awesome stance/grip our cars have in the twistys. I can spend up to $2000 for the setup. Let me know guys.. thanks

I would have to say that you are gonna get a lot of people saying either "search" or "BAT setup".

go with a bat setup and spend the other $1200 on MSDS, trubendz catback, K&N ru-3530, maf adapter, and optimize the TB. You'll be good to go. Or another option for the $1200 would be a nice set of wheels/tires. But the wheels/tires would kind of sacrifice a little comfortability there....

Sticky rubber will help even if you stay with your stock CSVT 16" wheels, and the stockers are not theft targets. Some people swear by bigger rear sway bars, others love RSTBs. Those should help your handling a lot without ruining your ride comfort. I'm personally leery of lowering springs with using my trunk, and you would use the trunk on a long road trip, wouldn't you?
MSDS, SHO-shop Y, custom 2.5" catback; xcal2; 63mm TB, K&N 3530; Koni struts, Aussie bar; THaines forks, Quaife, SpecII, UR fly; DMD; Nima UD pullies; Stazi brakes; f&r Pole120 mounts. Just a daily commuter car. Silver '98 SVT E0 #3159

Eibachs are probably the closest to a stock ride IMO. I've ridden in other Tours with different setups and my Eibachs have a nice ride to 'em.

Stock.
If your suspension is tired, get new OEM SVT struts, upper strut mounts, and front lower control arms from Bill Jenkins. (Replacement struts will be E1 struts, slightly improved/firmer than your current E0 pieces.) Replace your worn out front and rear swaybar bushings and endlink grommets (if available) with fresh rubber, or get Energy Suspension poly bushings from SP Motorsports. (Rear control arm bushings also available.)
If you want better struts, get the Bilsteins from BAT, but keep your stock springs.
If you want to lower a bit, then the BAT springs or Eibach will be the most comfortable, but you will still sacrifice some comfort no matter what aftermarket spring you choose.
I mean, really, the SVT handled pretty darn well out of the factory, and was actually a bit more comfy than the early SE. Restore it to "like new" condition and I think you'll be pleased.
As mentioned, tires are also a big influence on many aspects of the driving experience. I don't know what to recommend, but if you call the Tire Rack, I'm sure they can help you decide, based on your intended outcome. (Yok AVS ES100?)

A RSTB and/or bigger rear sway bar definitely will help you with handling and not sacrifice the ride. The bigger rear sway bar may require some sub frame modification, but it will all easily fit into your budget.

I have driven a 98 CSVT with a tired suspension and it was not a fun thing. Just driving straight was uncomfortable. Not from pull, just the overall ride was that bad.
I have also riden in a 99 CSVT with the BAT Euro kit with 17x7's covered with 215/45/17's. It was very nice and the lower profile of the tire did add some extra road feel, but I really liked that so...
If absolute performance is not needed, then I would say take the advice above and restore the car's suspension with stock components and you will be happy.
If you are looking to drive a little nastier then normal from time to time, I would say at the very least go with the BAT Kit and poly bushings. To go a single step further, go with the Bilsteins struts instead of the Euro struts.
And never underestimate a good set of tires for overall driving comfort. I say do one of the above and spend some of the left over money on a real good set of stock size tire's.

Yeah, tires play a HUGE role in how car handles, drives, and rides, though with tires you often have to make a trade-off because of budget, conditions you drive in,etc.

1. 50+ side wall tire
2. New SVT Springs
3. Bilstien or Koni's will greatly increase handling.
4. A quite tire. KDW's and many more roar, try Firehawk SZ50 EP's.
