My neighbor is a cop... I went and talked to him one day while he was driving by.... He wasnt wearing a seatbelt.. so i asked why.... He has the choice to wear one or not... I couldnt help but ask why its not required... Since he might have to jump out of his car at any time he doesnt wear one...For example on his night shift he got a call of an aggravated man threatining to kill himself.. he was sitting in his 4 year olds room and put a shot gun down his throat.. pulled the trigger... this was aft er a 3 hour stand off with cops trying to talk him down... Now think if the cops wouldnt have been there and his son to walk into the room.... A little off topic but honestly I dont care if cops speed or not.. Next time they might be speeding to get to that house where that next crazy man is so his children dont walk in on his corpes...

just my take on it-

I agree but when they speed they are putting other peopleā??s lives in danger. Most of the time it is some drunken person making a fool out of their selves. I don't think that is worth putting other peopleā??s lives in danger. A drunk will always cause problems.

I saw a cop tackle a drunk. The drunk fought and fought so the police officer grabbed him by the testicles and told the man he would cut his testicles out if he did not stop fighting. The drunk quit fighting and the police officer handcuffed him. There are a lot of drunks where I live and they love to fight and cause problems when they get drunk.

i think the drunk that gets in his car...IS far worse than a police officer speeding to the scene so that drunk doesnt have the chance to get behind the wheel... The drunks intoxicated... his reaction time is impaired... I think the drunks a bigger risk... He hits a family coming home from a road trip at 2 a.m. at 70 mph... He kills everyone in the car.. I would have wanted that cop to be there no matter what...
