Unless FL is different from everyother state that I am aware of, there is no LEGAL CUSHION , this is a common myth, The officers are just giving people a break, the law says 45 its 45, not 50 no such thing as a cushion.
For all you cynical bastages out there think about that for a while, gee the police really do cut me some slack! For criminy - most of the guys I know wont even pull you over till 18 over- just so they get the people really speeding - not the everyday joe im going a hair to fast.
So bust every guy's ass for going 10mph over the speed limit... Hell I want to see a cop pull over another cop for going 30 over WITHOUT THEIR REDS AND BLUES ON!!!! Im furious when I see a cop doing 75 in a 40 for no reason at all... Until you have your damn lights on, you are just another motor vehiclist, so if you're in that big of a hurry, you probably should think of a different profession. Get off your high horses with your law enforcement crap.. So I don't know every single law, but I'm sure if I started talking jibberish about my profession, then you wouldn't have a leg to stand on either..
