I coudnt have said it better mysels, and as for your 27 29 info - HEHEHE -

The almighty of KOA will give it to you when we feel like it!!

(or when the stupid computers spit it back to us!)

It seems bad that the officer does not have anything better to do. A person is supposed to signal lane changes and turns. Where I live it is now law that we have to wear our seatbelts. They stop people and give them tickets. It is a large fine where I live for not wearing a seatbelt. I usually wear mine but if I am making a short trips I don't like to have to buckle up and unbuckle.

My Grandmother and Aunt were killed in a car accident in Douglas, AZ in 1979 a mere 3 blocks from their house.

My dad had to fly back from Italy to bury his mom and sister because of one of those short trips people don't like to have to buckle up for.

Just food for thought.

It is a good idea to wear a seat belt. I'm trying to get into the habit. I know a few people who were killed because they were thrown out of their car and landed on top of them. I saw on the news that if a passenger is not wearing their seat belt that it decreases the chance of surviving an accident by 25%.

In my Grandma/Aunt's case, a seatbelt wouldn't have made much difference, a moment of innatentiveness and they pulled out in front of a dump truck. I guess my point is that accidents don't wait for those long trips.

That's a signal of an inconsiderate driver you say? How? He's turning into his own driveway! The only thing he can cause damage to is his own property.

Not using your turn signal means the driver is possibly drunk you say? Tell me this is the reason she is stationed in a neighborhood, and I'll tell you that she needs to move. What good is catching a drunk driver when he has already reached his house and won't be back on the road? Why not move to a congested part of road where there is a REAL danger to other drivers.

Sorry, but a more fitting traffic stop would be pulling him over for lack of signal when he is leaving his home, not returning.

On the job they are known as chicken shiot violations, or CSVs. They are legitimate violations of the motor vehicle code, and often allow officers to make a stop (investigation for criminal activity).

So, once again, we are faced with the idea that if you can somehow make it home, you are "safe"? Didn't you play that game as a child? Never grew out of it, huh? The everage DUI violator commits the offense 80 times a year. So maybe if the next one makes it to his/her driveway, I should just let them go and hope they don't kill themselves/someone else next time? yeah, right....

I bust each and every DUI I find. Best bust so far was a .092. I love the .08 limit. Highest has been a .27. Don't want to get caught, then don't drive drunk, it's that simple- though I suspect some people will never get it.

Here's an excellent example of cops 'doing their jobs'.

Here's a shorter version for those too lazy to read the whole article:

Drop That Drink And Come Out With Your Hands Up!

The Fairfax (VA) County Police Department suffered a highly publicizedâ??and much deservedâ??shellacking after teams of uniformed police officers pulled patrons out of a number of local taverns and ran them through sobriety tests. Those who failed were arrested on the spot for being "drunk in public."

In case you missed the story, in the weeks leading up to the Holidays the Fairfax County Police raided 20 bars in Reston and Herndon VA to arrest patrons they suspected of being drunk. Those who passed the mandatory spot check were "allowed to go back into the establishment and enjoy the rest of their evening," according to a police spokesman. Those who failed were arrested on the spot and did not enjoy the rest of their evening.

While there was near universal condemnation of these police-state tactics, one person supported the raids. Chuck Hurley, an official with the National Safety Council and former board member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving called the Fairfax police "everyday heroes."
