In Minnesota as long as you have a existing auto policy, your car is automatically covered, even if you have not added it to your policy. You are automatically covered with the same coverage as your best insured vehicle on your current policy. You have ten days to add it to your auto policy, after that you have liability for 30 days. Hopefully, you have added it to your policy by then. So, i guess i should say, it depends on how long ago you bought the car. As long as you just bought it, and have a current auto policy, you are automatically covered. But thats Minnesota, not Texas...
