Hey guys,

I just bought my '98 SVT this weekend. Couple easy (I think) questions.

Any idea how to prevent the windsheild washer system from freezing up? It didn't work the first day I got it....worked this weekend after being in a heated garage for a couple hours...now doesn't work again. Bugs me cause the road grime here is nasty...lol.

Also, and I think I heard this somewhere before, the light on the clock doesn't work. What needs to be replaced in that instance?

Thanks!

-Josh

Thaw out the car again in the garage, then pump out all the old washer fluid. Refill it with new, fresh fluid.

Washer fluid uses alcohol for freezing protection. If it sits too long, the alcohol evaporates out of the solution raising the freeze point.

It may have summer fluid in it, too. Definately start fresh.

Thanks Guys! I will bring it into the garage this weekend and empty her out and put in some of the good stuff in it. The guy I bought the car from bought a mini cooper this summer so he didn't drive the SVT much.

As for the dash light...will tackle that in the garage this weekend too, thanks for pointing that out.
