that's wierd, i don't know why mine is so low (both are together for a year is around $1100 for me). My friend just bought a new car and esurance quoted him something relatively low. Not as low as mine, but then again a lot of insurance companies take into consideration where you live too. When we moved to our current home 3yrs ago (an upper-middleclass/lower highclass neighborhood) our car insurance rates went down by 33%($1000)!!! eek

That's funny. When I bought my 99 svt, Auto Club of So Cal said that the insurance rate was the same as any V6 Contour - no performance premium. That's one of the reasons I took the plunge.

380 a month. In march 8 insurance points dropped from my record, so when my policy renews I will be only paying $200-220.

I am 23 and pay around 1300 a year, I was very surprised how low it was actually, about the same I was paying for my 93 ranger I had before the SVT. I had to buy ford, so got quotes for a v6 stang and an explorer and the SVT was the cheapest, I think the 4-door and contour model made it seem like it was not sporty :-)

Ahh Canada apparantly home of cheap insurance. I am paying $580/year for full coverage on my 99SVT.

$580 Canadian = $362 US.

That would be great except I am paid in Canadian frown
