Here is a comparison of five standard and five synthetic oils that you might find interesting.. click-here I run AMSOIL 0W30 in the Cougar, 10W40 in the SLK 230 and 5W30 in the Honda Accord 2.2L.. That means only one oil change per car per year..

Since my CSVT had 6K on it, I've been using Mobil 1. I've used both 5w30 and 0w30 (when I drove it in the winter) The oil filter is almost always the Mobil 1 synthetic filter, but I've used a Pure One occasionally. I plan on switching to this new, race formula Mobil 1 when it comes out though

Mobil 1 0w-40 Fl-820s or the Pure One pl 24651. The 0w part is really helps in the winter and all the short trips this car does. 40 because that's what the europeans 2.5 l are recommending now. It's good insurance. I won't get into drain interval. But last year 0w-40 went from March to Nov. just over 4k with filter change in Oct. followed by 1k plus Thangiving trip, then changed upon return. I did want to try and do an oil anylstal but the cost isn't worth to me. I just used the money to buy more oil/filter and with the Duratec 1/2 extra is added just in case. Besides a change is still good idea with all this short trips. Dip stick level around the M or A on the word Max. This vehicle is saying around for at least 12-15 years. Paul

Just to be correct, I think you're talkin' about 0w30 Mobil 1, right
