OP dluv New CEG\'er D Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 28	This may be an over reaction of a sound that could be nothing but I decided to ask anyway. Whenever I rev the engine past 3000rpm's I get this rasp sound. I'm not actually sure what to call the sound it's kind of like a metal on metal sound or something. Any thoughts? Exhaust is stock. Check for exhaust leaks especially near the flanges. I had this problem once when one of the flange bolts broke where the cat-back part of the exhaust starts. Also check for loose exhaust shields as stated above. Also see if the exhaust is rubbing against the exhaust tunnel anywhere under the car. 1998.5 E1 SVT Contour #5482/6535
