We in Californai call it COKE. Everythings a COKE regardless if you order 7-Up or Dr. Pepper. In Oregon they call it Pop. Backwoods redneck term if ya ask me

Your poll is flawed. Where I'm from, it's all called coke. You ask someone if they want a coke, if they say yes, and you have more than coke (referring to any coca-cola, pepsi, or store brand coke) then you ask them if they want whatever else (mountain dew,etc.). ... I hated going to Ohio to visit family and they ask me if I want some pop. So in conclusion, it's called coke.

I have lived here the majority of my life in urban environments. Be it Sacramento inner city or San Jose - Santa Clara area.
Brian, arent you from North Bay (Santa Rosa area), if so its a more urban term here in Cali as when traveling to smaller towns you get the SODA term often.
