For the record:
The duratech engine does have 2 coolant drain plugs in the engine block. One is above the oil filter (Its easy to get at with the oil filter removed). The plug uses a 13mm allen wrench for removal. The other drain plug is on the back side of the block. It uses the same wrench and is hard to reach. If you remove these plugs, make sure you have some thread sealer on hand. There is no gaskets on these plug.
