Today i installed a KKM intake on my SVT...i must say that i was not initially impressed with it...but as i "collected data" it did seem to be quicker in the upper rpm range yet a little less torquey down low...well...while placing a order at the drive thru i heard a strange noise like an exhaust leak...no this cant be i thought...one has nothing to do with the other(intake)...after further investigation i discovered that the measley "4-6" supposed extra horses was just enough to break one of the exhaust flange bolts after the converter which is where my leak is coming from....up til now i have had not an ounce of trouble from my car..which was bone stock....this leads me to believe that the damn intake must undoubtedly be adding a smidgen of power...since i'm breaking sh^t now i might as well go on and get the y-pipe and other goodies and really tear up some stuff

I had one of those bolts break within the 1st week of ownership of my CSVT. It did have 106k miles on it at the time though. $15 and 15 minutes at the exhaust shop and it's been tight and quiet since.

I seriously doubt that the extra few HP you got from the intake broke your exhaust. Probably just because you were running it hard.

Mine broke at 50K after adding a flux capacitor.
