Plus you get a warranty and tech support.

This is for you and APT, as for Dell, they have all kinds of range computers. But building your own is by far cheaper then buying a dell. You just got to know where to look. pricewatch.com is where I got all the prices for those componets I listed. Now back to Dell. Give me any computer they have, and I could build a system for way cheaper then they sell them for. With the software they sell. XP home or Pro, Office XP\2003, I can get it all Full Retail for Office. OEM for XP Home or Pro, Unless I have some good copies I got from MS store for cheap which then I give them for cost + 10% Which for pro thats like $44.00 and home is like $22.00. Other then that OEM for Home is 89.99 and OEM for Pro is like 119.00-129.00 depending on overstock of some companies. Dell, HP, Gateway, Compaq in all of their cheap system use last years parts to the middle end stuff. Cheap [censored] this year was last years mid range stuff, mid range stuff this year was last years high end stuff (motherboard, soundcard, videocard, memory, CPU, all the big parts that need updating constantly). Now, I know that is probably hard for you all to believe, but why do you think a $1000 dell, becomes obsolete much faster then a high end dell machine. HMM, because there is a reason they are cheap. Its old technology. Now if your gonna build a Internet PC/Word Processor and some small games (non-3D) go with a cheap dell. Otherwise stay away from them. Now if you wanna get screwed which ever way you prefer, Go with a higher end one and pay upwards of $1000.00 bucks more to have it done and be just as good as the one you could have made only more expensive. Look at alienware PCs for instance. They got rigs that can get up to $4000.00 easily, I got all the specs and brand names on all the stuff, prices it out on pricewatch and could under cut them for almost $1500.00, even have a case that looked like last years models. as for their cases this year I dont know where to get them yet. But when I can build a computer using pricewatch for far cheaper then the big compitition. Makes you wonder why there is a computer store on every other block. If you know nothing of computers, or just a bit, buy a dell, anything else build your own using pricewatch.com.
