Hey well I'm starting the work on my A-arms. I read alot about it and after talking to Bill, I think I going to go with, lifting the tranni instead of lowering the subframe. I will let you guys know of the process.

that sounds like a way better way to do it- I lifted my engine/tranny when i replaced my motor mounts- it was really easy-
dropping the sub-frame sound way to intense

That's what kept me from doing my clutch the first time around....before I knew the engine/trans would come out the top.

I almost completely pulled mine when I replaced the oil pan gasket. If I could have closed the hood, my exhaust manifold would have probably been visible. IIRC, Dave pulled his through the top when he blew his engine. Perhaps he could give you some pointers?

Well I hit a bump, the tranni does not go up far enough to clear the middle bolt, the tranni keeps hitting the sheet metal, I need to push the tranni towards the passenger side, and jack it up at the same time, so I just need to wait untill someone is off work.
Then the last bolt will come off, and I'll be done. The passenger side is out, it took me about 15 minutes.
Well I'll keep you guys posted.

Dropping the subframe wasnt to hard. I just used jackstands in the rear and lowered the front with a floor jack. It takes 2 people but wasnt to intense. You definitely dont have to do everything the manual tells you to. I left the steering and power steering all together with no problems.

I tryed to remove the subframe bolt but the front one would not move. I have an impact gun, and even with that the bolt would not move, so I stoped before I broke it, and had to fix some thing else.
