Has anyone had trouble removing the HU from the dash? I have removed several Ford HU's in the past however I have never had one give me as much trouble as this one. I am using the removal tools, But it will not unlock. I was wondering are there any screws or bolts holding the unit as well or is it held just by the locking ears?[for lack of a better name] If some of you guy's have any tricks or helpfull idea's I would appreciate it. Thanks. confused mad mad

All you need are the removal tools, and it can be a pain in the ass. Are you pushing out and then pulling on them?

There's really no secrets I can think of, I just had to mess around and curse alot, then the thing finally came out. No screws or bolts or anything.

Yes I'm pulling outward on the tools while also pulling the unit from the dash. After pulling so much the tools finaly let go of the unit and the tools rip out of the HU. I have pulled several Ford HU's and I have never had this much trouble. Something is going to break! mad mad mad
