Its very bad with mine, but my tires are about shot. Motor mount inserts are about the best cheap fix, although you will still notice it.

Quaife, sticky(er) tires, poly motor mounts, suspension... These are all good things to have... I have them all and am putting down only 191HP and 190TQ at the wheels, and I have the same problem in 1st gear at a roll... But do the things people have been saying and you'll definitely feel a difference... After that, learning how to control it is all you can do...

Torsen LSD (not Quaife)
Better/Taller tires (225/50 KDW or P03, 17's?)
Poly or 94A Roll Resistors

~~~
I have that problem any time above 1/2 throttle in 1st and 3/4 throttle in 2nd. Just lights up both tires. (though mine pulls straight as an arrow )
In 3rd there is only a brief hint of wheel spin and only if I intentionally try by punching it from cruise to full throttle above 4500rpm or hard shifting into 3rd which I actually do try to avoid.
Well I am not running an SVT. But I am having the same problems with traction now especially since I put the SVT UIM on the car. I think alot has to do with the tires that are on the car right now.
And why is that? What warranty comes with the Torsen anyway?
I run the Falken Azenis Sports... check those out... great all around tire... minus winter of course. But, they really bite! Those coupled w/ Bilsteins, intrax, and poly mounts... makes sure I can put most of the power down. Any of those things will help.
Performance. Plain & simple.
The Quaife is notorious for hunting back and forth under countless situations. (one being having more power than stock!)
That is not conductive to putting the power to the ground and tracking in a straight line. Both of which are needed to have a fast, predictable, & good handling car.
'nuff said.
Ahhh, I must not have one of the notorious Quaifes then... Mine seems to be doing the job...
I'll ask again, what warranty does the Torsen come with? How much do the Torsens run?
