This is the beginning of my system. Tell me what you guys think so far! Everything is still in boxes.

HEAD UNIT Nakamichi CD-40z

2 8" a/d/s SUBS

a/d/s AMP 6 channel 6 x 25

I am not sure if the amp will have enough to power the 2 subs. I remeber my old PPI was 25x2 and powered 2 10" JL's no problem.

Let me hear it guys. BTW if can't sell my MA audio components i will use them.

Looks pretty good! I think you'll be very happy with the results.

Don't know anything about the MA Audio speakers so I can't comment on them.

MA Audio aren't that bad. They are made by the same company as my Autotek components.

I have all a/d/s and Nak products - I'm very happy with everything! If SQ is more important to you than SPL, you're on the right track........

It sure is, only problem will be trying to figure how to mount the 2 8" subs in the back.

I'm surprised Dave didn't throw in a little comment about moi & my admittedly obvious affinity for Nakamichi & a/d/s/ products. wink

I'm curious, though, TonyD; why the different component speakers? Seems to me you'd want to keep the system consistent with a/d/s/ components & subwoofer.

Now before you call me a hypocrite, the only reason I went with the Infinity sub in my system instead of the A310rs.2 was Crutchfield had the Infinitys on sale with a free Q-Logic box & they were relatively identical in construction & specifications.
The only difference being the a/d/s/ is a dual voice coil (DVC) design while the Infinity is a single voice coil (SVC).

To answer your question, each of two channels can be bridged to provide power to each sub. If the sub you are using is the 'A' series, then I believe the recommended power range is 25 to 200 watts per voice coil & these feature a SVC design.
Your bridged channels should probably provide at least 50 watts but will likely be much more than that as Power Plates offer multiplied power ratings for bridged channels.
For example the latest P650 is rated @ 50 watts x 6 channels @ 4 ohms, but offers 150 watts x 3 channels bridged @ 4 ohms.

However, I also am not familiar with MA speakers so I cannot comment on them either.

As for how or where to mount them, the obvious solution would be a pre-fab or custom built box to be located in the trunk.
However, considering you are using a pair of 8" subs, you might be able to mount them in the rear doors if you are willing to spend the money & effort on some custom installation work.
This way you avoid taking up trunk space with a fairly large dual sub box. Plus I would think the entire system might sound better as the subs are located directly in the passenger compartment & thus not have to fire through the rear seats.

Hmmmm, now that I think about it this could be a potential update to my own system... smile

You can mount the subs to the bottom of the rear deck. I've got a single 8 there as well as Aaron and a few others. It's not much work with good results and no loss of trunk space. You'll just need some 1/2 plywood or MDF, a reciprocating saw, a stanley knife, and some 3/4" felt carpet padding. There are tons of posts for subs in the rear deck, try a search for more info than you'll ever need.

Bridge 3/4 and 5/6 to two channels to power the subs. It should end up sending around 100 quality watts to each sub. Should be pleanty and sound nice. Use 1/2 to run the components up front. You can power your rear speakers with the HU should you choose to use them at all.

Should be a very nice sounding system. I'm using something similar with some Focal components up front and a 8" Audiobahn sub in the rear deck powered with a 4ch US Acoustics amp (KW eXcelon HU). It's nowhere near competition SPL but the SQ is excellent.

That Nak unit is an indash changer, correct?
I'm not sure if the amp will have enough power for the subs and components together. Let me know how it sounds, though, I'd love to hear it.

Nope, that Nak is just a single disk player. If wired how Colin described, 100 watts would be more than enough power to run a pair of 8" subs.

Yeah, maybe. Depends on how much they like being underpowered. I've actually blown more speakers from under power than over. Took me a long time to figure that one out. confused
