All of a sudden the key will not open the trunk I sprayed WD-40 and later tried graphite no luck any ideas?

The key is connected to the catch mechanism with a cable. If the key turns, but doesn't open the trunk, the cable could be detached or broken.

Mine wound up in the same boat after a long, salty winter. I pulled the lock cylinder and lubed the heck out of it, but one of the tumblers is still sticky. I'm to lazy to really care, since my inside release works fine. Of course, my fricking remote release quit working 2 days ago (again!) so one of these warmer days I'll have to pull the trunk apart and fix it.

No it act's like it belongs to another car but it worked good until yesterday it's the original key that came with the car

I had the same problem. It was actually my first post on this forum, right after I bought my car last Feb. I though I had the wrong key. If you use the key fob and simultaneously lift the trunk real hard, it should open. Otherwise, just spray a crapload of lube/WD40/whatever in there until things get moving. Otherwise, it should open again once it gets warm.
Old car: '98 SVT T-Red
K&N air filter; Ford Focus RS shift knob. Off to be auctioned off somewhere.
New car: 2003 Honda Accord DX Sedan, 5-speed.
