I had the car serviced today oil filter the mechanic informed me that the trans mount next to the firewall needs to be replaced any help? Where can i order one ? THANKS GUYS

You dont chnage your oil but yet you want to replace transmission mounts, very interesting.

sorry typo changed oil and filter and whatever needed to be greased check all fluids check air in tires wash car fill up with fuel

he has gone to florida for two weeks vaction i told him about this group and he told me to order the mount my problem is which one is next to the firewall?

Changing the tranmission mount is about as easy as changing the oil on a zetec. I hate getting to that filter.

Ilooked in the repair manual and cannot find which mount is next to the firewall??? i need to buy one so he can install it when he gets back but which one??? THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

There are four. One on the passenger fender, one on the drivers fender, one at the front under the radiator, and one at the back of the tranny, connecting to the subframe, underneath the firewall. The one you are describing is the last one. You can see it clearly when underneath the car.

Might be too late for this to be helpful, but the mount described above as the one connecting to the subframe, underneath the firewall, can be replaced with an SVT mount (ZETEC w/MTX). And beleive it or not, but the dealer price for the SVT mount mentioned above is lower than the same OEM Zetec mount. Go figure.
