What we really need to know is what is the alternator putting out on the bench? What ever it puts out on the bench is what you should have at the battery...and if not...then you have an electrical problem between the alternator and battery wiring. Which yes...could be the diode. You have a 7.5 amp fuse in the interior panel, as well as a 175amp mega fuse...check what voltage you have at the starter and check your 7.5 amp fuse as well.
