The guy should get well paid certainly , but he never said "Hey , dont drive that fast". It was an unfortunate accident , the salesman should be cited heavily , hell obviously be fired and not get a job at a dealership again. But manslaughter? Thats too extreme , theres alot of punishments I see now that are way too strong for the crime. The guy is not permanently disabled as far as Ive read , his face doesnt even look that bad from the angle he showed , it doesnt look permanent either. This doesnt constitute more than 5million or manslaughter.
