I read that post. You wouldn't believe how many of these SRT-4's that already toast.  Check up on the SRTforums, almost 1 or 2 a month are totalled.

Well he cannot be convicted already, and I think manslaughter charges are def. possible. I hope he does get alot of money for that. Just because you sell cars doesn't mean that you know how to drive em...

After reading "the fence rail went though the front windshield, hit me in the face, pealing my face from the nose to my ear away from my scull", I expected the picture of his face to look A LOT worse. The reconstruction of his face looks good. A very lucky person (for the circumstance) indeed...

that boy should own that dealership and all their homes. but, the law is tricky, i mean i was left paralyzed and basically only got a wheelchair ramp and my mystique out of a PERMANENT disability. hope he has better luck than i did with uncle sams ways.

How come everyone is talking about the Salesman like hes a murderer/rapist? How many of you drive over 100mph , why is the salesman any different? For fucksake from what I read the guy isnt even permanently hurt. He should get a healthy settlement and the salesman should recieve traffic related penalties , but attempted manslaughter? Youve got to be [censored] joking.
Even a short prison term ruins a whole life , and prison sucks ass , why you so freely sentence this man to such a thing is beyond me when you all do the same thing.

I think we know who without a job now! Goodness!   Hmm...maybe Uhaul will now add the SRT-4 to the list of cars that cant haul trailers.

Not to sound like a "I told you so" knowitall but when I first saw the specs on the SRT-4 I was telling a lot of guys at work "Man there's gonna be a big rise in serious accidents with those things" because they are more or less targeted for f&f teenagers and most unknowing parents thing "Oh it's a Neon so it's not anything fast" That's just a lot of power and not much metal/protection added with inexperienced drivers who wanna push the car to its limits, just adds up to potential disaster.
If I was that guy I'd be suing for a few mil, a viper, SRT-10 truck and ummmmm lifetime free Dodges or something.

I hate to break it to you but I bet that salesman is more than likely to face attempted manslaughter charges. This is almost exactly the same situation that Danny Heatly (Atlanta Thrasher of the NHL) is facing after he crashed a car that had Dan Snyder, a teammate, in the passenger seat. The only difference being that luckily no one died in the SRT accident.
Just cause you drive over 100 mph doesn't mean its ok. If any one of us did so and hurt/killed a passenger we'd face the same charges. "Everyone does it" doesn't mean sh*t.

First off, have you not noticed all of the press that street racing has gotten in the last few years due to the number of deaths resulting from it? What this dealer did would be classified as street racing more or less the way most states are cracking down now. The law is not screwing around with these people anymore, they are charging them harshly and punishing just as harshly. Right, wrong or otherwise that just the way it is.
Secondly, yeah I have taken my car well over 100mph before but on an empty road with NO ONE in my car AND I was/am willing to take full responsibility for my actions if I do it again and get caught.
Bottom line, sounds like the salesman was trying to be joe cool and impress this guy for the sale and ended up nearly killing him and possibly scarring up his face for life not to mention he is a REPRESENTATIVE of his company and did this on his company's time with the company's car. What the guy did was stupid and even more so than normal because of what I just pointed out. While I may not agree with his life being ruined the law is the law and he brought whatever comes from this on HIMSELF.
