Nice, except you of course gotta sign up for (I think) a two-year agreement.

It's a pretty nice variant on the PDA phone concept. I'm not too big of a fan of that, sticking with my Nokia. My brother in law has one and has been insufferably pleased with it.

It's an awesome deal, if you prefer a phone that is more PDA than phone. It also appears to be GSM only, which is a very limited network.
It's pricier (about the same as the Siemens before rebate), but a better overall package if you want a true PDA phone...

Actually the GSM for ATT has grown quite considerbally over the past years that they started offering it.
And the Kyocera 7135 is based on the Palm OS which is highly inferior to Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 and 2003.

Man, I love Siemens products (if you can think of a less embarrassing way to state that, lemme know ), am on AT&T's GSM network already and I actually need a PDA, I just don't have the extra $100 right now

Unless your work refuses to support Pocket PC.

That is a great deal - I have the TMobile version of the same phone and LOVE IT.
It marries the 2 functions or PDA and Phone seamlessly.
Great package, though some would consider it too big.

While I agree GSM has grown, if you aren't in a city, or perhaps on an interstate between two nearby major cities, you don't have a phone. Analog roaming is a requirement for any phone that travels.
For this type of application, Palm OS is a lot more sensible than the Pocket PC. It provides more than a needed amount of computing power in a much more efficient (memory and battery life) platform.
Of course, each side will have its devotees on platform. My main problem with the blackberry, the Siemens here, the Samsungs, the Audiovox Thera, and every other PDA phone I have seen is that it's a PDA with a microphone beneath the screen and an earpiece above. The phone is a tacked on afterthought. The Kyocera is the only model I have seen that is actually usable as a phone, plus having the full PDA functionality. The clamshell flip design of the 7135 also protects the delicate screen from damage.
Keep in mind I am a current Verizon Kyocera SmartPhone 6035 owner.
