Some oil consumption is not that uncommon, especially after going 5k between changes. But there are others here who say they have 0 consumption at all.

blackstone labs Color is not always the best indicator as to the condition of your oil. Getting it tested is the best way to know exactly whats happening in there. Personally, with moderate driving, I would use Mobil1 for 5k, but not much over that.
BTW, what filter are you using? (please say motorcraft, mobil1 or K&N)
