I looked all over the driver side and under the hood and for some jacked up reason it has no 2 letter code anywhere on any of the labels for the color. The car is white and i'm thinking its Oxford White but i want to know for sure before i go an order some paint. I know what the Ford labels look like and right where the code should be but its not there. All it says is EXT PNT WT and there is no WT paint code for Ford. All of the Ford labels i have seen says Exterior Paint Color and the 2 letter code is printed right above that but for some reason our label is different.

Call a dealer, you can give them the last 8 (i believe) digits of the VIN#, they should be able to tell you for sure. I did this with a GMC before. Not sure if Furd will do this for free though

According to www.plastikote.com the paint code for 1996 Ford Oxford White is YO, unless it is a basecoat/clearcoat finish which is YZ.

White is the only paint code not listed in my factory manual.

According to paintscratch.com, code WT is called "Performance White Clearcoat".

thanks guys i got ahold of a buddy of mine who works for Ford and he verified it is WT Performance White. Dunno why this label was done different than others. Out car however doesn't appear to have a clear coat on it though.
