the same thing happened when i ordered a bolt for the oil cooler it came and was shorter on the side that the oil filter goes onto but it worked good. I called bill and he told me that ford musta have upgraded the part and changed it slightly but its function was still the same. good luck if not i have an idler pulley if you want it.
