Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit a 98+ console into a 95 Tour? The design of the 98+ with the built in real cup holders is much more practical than the 95 with the flimsy pop up one. I'd be happy to do the work to retrofit a 98+ if it could be done.

you can swap in the whole center console if that is what you mean by "retrofit"

Have you done it? If so, any particular problems to watch out for?

Have you ever used the cupholders in a 98+ 'tour? You may want to try them out before deciding they're any better. For me at least, the left one is the only useable one and only semi- at best, as it only fits thin bottles (e.g. fast-food small or medium sized sodas, or 16 ounce water bottles, but NOT the 20-oz bottles, they fit but not properly anyway, and forget about anything larger or wider). The right one is useless since it's much too shallow, anything you put in it will guarantee to tip unless it's a half-pint of water.

Pull the insert out of the right one & it holds a regular coffee cup just fine.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
