Today was such a crappy day for me. My contour was parked out front of my house, and at about 1:30 p.m. I was sitting in the computer room, and suddenly heard, BOOM...

My boyfriend ran out front, and yelled for me to call the police. When I went outside, my car was all the way up in the front of our yard, about a foot away from taking out our porch.

This guy in an old red F-150 pickup truck, smashed right into the drivers side rear of my car, spinning it half way around, and up near our house.

When I went outside, my bf was yelling for the guy to get out of the truck, but he was hitting his gas trying to get away. (His truck wouldn't move because his front bumper was rubbing against his tires.)

After we got the license plate, the guy finally got his truck to move, and floored it down the street, and SMASHED TWO MORE CARS on the way!!!

He then took off, and come to find out from the police, he hit two more cars after that! The police said that there was something wrong with the guy, they didn't know if he was drunk or on drugs.

I am just mad, because I haven't even had my car for two months now, and THIS happens. Back in 2001 I bought a BRAND new car, and 2.5 months later, someone hit me, and totaled my car out, completely.

I suppose it just wasn't meant for me to have a car. I'm sure that they will fix it (I'm hoping), and not total it out. It just sucks because my car had nothing wrong with it, no dents, dings, scratches, NOTHING.

I'm really bumming right now.

Here's a few pics of the damage. There's more on the drivers side that you really can't see unless you are up close. NONE of the doors will open believe it or not. And on the passenger side, the tire broke off from hitting the curb.

YIKES!!!!!!!!

You'd better hope that guy had insurance. Usually if they're stupid enough to drive drunk/high etc, they don't have the common sense to actually insure their vehicles.

Even if he has insurance, that's a good 7 grand worth of damage. Good luck not having it totalled especially if he has a cap on property damage.

Sorry to hear that but be glad that it was not at a moment that you were about to get in or out of the car if you know what I mean.

Goodluck with everything.

Dang, that really sucks. I only had my car for a few months before I hit a dear. Don't worry it will eventually get fixed, just hang in there.

That's got to be a total. And if no doors will open, that's a possibility of frame damage which guarantees a total in nearly all circumstances.

Thanks for the replies...

My feelings exactly 95mid. I'd love to take a bat to him right about now. (Luckily his sorry A** is sitting in jail right now!)

I wasn't told if this guy had insurance or not. My bf said that the truck had an orange tag on it (like the kind police put on cars when they are parked somewhere for a while, and not moved.) So the truck my have actually been stolen.

I do have full coverage on the car, so my insurance company is supposed to go out tomorrow, or Friday to see the damage. I don't have to pay my deductible because my car was parked, and no one was in it. I also *luckily* don't have to pay for a rental car.

I guess those are the only two good things so far. I'm really hoping they can fix my car, because if they total it, they're just going to give me what it's worth. Then I'll have to pay the car off, and be stuck with nothing....again.

DAMN!! Wow I still remember your first post in the E. Great Lakes forum. I'm sorry to hear that your car is totaled out especially sense you didn't even have it long enough to get the real feel of it. Hopefully you can find a good replacement for the tour. Keep us posted.
