Just thought I would add that the amp you picked out from ebay is a 2-channel amp so you will not be able to "push all 4 speakers" Nice amp from what I have read though.

You can use it to run all four speakers, but you'll lose front/back fader control.

Surprised you guys aren't recommending upgrading the rear speakers. I did my fronts first, then the rears about 2 weeks later. Made a huge difference.

Do all 2-ch amps support 4-ch if you don't find losing front/back fading control?

Provided they're stable in 2ohm stereo. Most are.

Chomp,
Could i use that amp to push the first set of Crystals (the ones for $45) or would it be too much power.
If too much power what if I send it across to the fronts and rears, instead of just fronts.
Thanks, Joe

You could. You'd just need to turn the gains down (effectively makes it a less powerful amplifier).
Using it to power the fronts and rears, it would send 100w to all four speakers when using parallel wiring. Again, you'd have to turn down the gains.

Do most car audio amplifiers have a gain adjustment? In fact, you are not really lowering the gain directly but rather raising the value of the resistor that is connected to the base emitter of transistor which in turn lowers the gain

I haven't seen one without a gain adjustment, but there's always some exception out there.

If there is one without a gain adjustment, it's easy enough to rig up a couple of potentiometers to be your gain adjustment. Audio input to middle terminal, one outside terminal to amp input, other outside terminal to shield/ground of head unit output/amp input.
Dunno what size (1K, 10K, 100K?) of potentiometers you'd want to use but they're cheap, so experimentation won't cost much...
