Ive been told on here that quality will suffer if it is that close, but after actually doing it, I like it much better this way. Heres a shot of my installation, and if you want to wire straight to the head unit, it is much easier to go this way.

Cool installation. I was thinking about doing the same thing, since my head is basically at the B-pillar when I'm driving.

I would be concerned that all you would hear would be the left tweeter, since you're so close to it compared to the right. Is that not the case?

Also, those tweeters look big. What are they?

Viss,

Avoid that location at all costs. It would have nothing but negative effects, unless you consider overpowering treble with terrible soundstage and pathetic imaging a good thing. Placing a tweeter there offers nothing but "it looks cool" to some novice or someone not interesting in anything but loud.

Have you ever been in a car where its been installed there? I am not interested in nothing but loud AT ALL. It is an excellent location and I get excellent quality. I dont hear nothing but treble either. As to left side to right side ratio, it doesnt effect it at all. The sound quality in my car with my current setup is perfect. I want you to sit in my car and listen to the quality before you say that its pathetic or novice. It isnt for looks, if I were looking for all looks and no game, I would have done many things differently.

Here's the rest of my tweeter setup.

Knowing facts is one thing, but experience is another. I may not know as much as you, but I dont need to hear words like pathetic or novice on a setup that im very proud of and confident in.
