Want some tweets for the small panels adjacent to the side mirrors. What size is best/easiest to work with? Whats reccomended for powering them? The HU or a seperate amp? And if HU how do I go about that wiring? Splice into a door speaker? Thanks!

If you have an aftermarket HU then you can power it from the HU. Splicing into the door speakers would be the easiest route to wiring in that location. The only other way would be by drilling into the door and pass it through where the factory wiring comes through and up to the head unit. Im not a cerwin vega fan, frankly, i think they suck. If you are willing to spend another 20 or 30 dollars, you can get some nice pioneer tweets. Believe me the difference would be worth it, and these vega tweets would not be worth installing.
Some may disagree with me, but I believe in locating them a few inches above the seatbelt hole in between the front and rear doors. Ive been told on here that quality will suffer if it is that close, but after actually doing it, I like it much better this way. Heres a shot of my installation, and if you want to wire straight to the head unit, it is much easier to go this way.

Go for some small tweeters (no bigger than 1") that can be flush-mounted into the sail panels. Then, grab some 2-way passive crossovers (or make your own using some electrical bits and this link ) to split the signal going to your front speakers. The highs will go to the tweets and mids/lows to the woofers. BTW, those tweets are huge.

Cool installation. I was thinking about doing the same thing, since my head is basically at the B-pillar when I'm driving.
I would be concerned that all you would hear would be the left tweeter, since you're so close to it compared to the right. Is that not the case?
Also, those tweeters look big. What are they?

Avoid that location at all costs. It would have nothing but negative effects, unless you consider overpowering treble with terrible soundstage and pathetic imaging a good thing. Placing a tweeter there offers nothing but "it looks cool" to some novice or someone not interesting in anything but loud.

dnewman04 you beat me to it, avoid that location. My suggestion save up buy a decent quality 6" mid and tweet set with crossover's included. Take your facotru 6x8 or 5x7 trace it out on a piece of wood. Cut out the piece that you have traced and mount it in place of factory speaker. Take the 6" mid mount it and place the tweeter below the mid for better imaging and definately amp the set as the factory unit will heat up and the distorted signal will damage you tweeters if you just hook them straight up to the head unit.
This type of install will look clean as you will not have to cut any factory panels which can be very costly to replace, and mount the crossover's in the door and insulate them so that they don't get water damaged.

You got it, and if the mid mounted closer to the edge you can place the tweeter below the mid. That's how I set mine up sounds great and looks totally stock.
