When I cleaned mine 6 months ago, I used TB cleaner. After that was dry, I sprayed some silicone lubricant into it & let that dry. Everything is working just fine.
You will want to have a gasket handy to replace the old one which will likely come off in pieces - might cost you $2. While you're at it, I STRONGLY recommend you perform a TB cleaning if you have not already done that. Pretty easy & will take an extra hour or so. You might also need a TB gasket if you clean the TB, $4 from the dealer.
