There are no lame ?'s in CEG land!
You can tell if your secondaries are opening by looking at the drivers side of the engine, underneath the air tube assembly, by the throttle body (under that). If you have the engine running, and you rev it above 3800 RPM, and with a flashlight looking in that area you'll see a little metal linkage moving forwards and back. That's the linkage that opens the secondaries.
Older Tours often have the plastic clips, that hold the linkage on both ends, break off and the linkage doesn't open the secondaries anymore after that.
Cheap part from the dealer too, easy to fix as well.
