as long as your put oem parts back in they can't say anything, when I wrecked my 93 saturn three and half years ago, I had lowered, it 17s sound system all that, they said only if we put the stock items back on. And so we did (except the springs, who wants three lowering springs and struts, lol) the rim in the front right we took because we could just replace the tire as there was no visible damage to the rim besides one of the weights fell off. But all and all, they let me have my stuff if you got stock stuff at home put it on and sell your aftermarket stuff.

Amazing how quick the parts vultures are to respond to a "I wrecked my car" post...

Sorry to hear about the accident, 97CS.

Sorry to hear of another one gone. At least you're ok though. One other question though, I'm guessing you didn't have ABS on the car? Though if you had, maybe all that would have happened would be you plowing into the guy in front of you.

Yeah I don't think I have ABS. It seems like I never heard anyone talk about it when my brother sold the car to me. I was further enough away from the car in front I wouldn't have hit him, but I saw brake lights, so I started slowing donw.

Here are the pictures: And yeah, somehow I managed to hit some button, causing some motorcycle to appear in a mini-pic on some of them, just ignore that. For those that are too lazy to read my initial post. Long story short, I hit a bad patch of ice on the highway, going about 55-60 (same speed as everyone else) and it sent me flying sideways across 3 lanes, careening into a ditch and slamming into rock and ground. I had to have been going the same speed, around 55 or so then I hit, because when I slid across the lanes, I didn't hear my tires gripping at all, no tire screeching or anything. It's as if my car was on a damned ice rink. I just flew across all 3 lanes.

You can't see the cracks too well because of the ice, but the windshield spider-webbed in about 4 different spots and spread to all corners of the damned thing.

All the big long white marks are giant scratches/gashes from slamming into rock and ground.

On impact, both airbags deployed, even though my left rear side is the side that hit, and everything seemed to be spring loaded, and just shot out.

Nice tire, wheel and axel/frame damage there.

P.S. I'd say the contour held up rather well considering the speed at which I hit the rock/ground. Not that I recommend you all go out and try it, but it held up decently.

Sorry to hear about this.
I know you did your best to stop cause your use to this type of weather.

This is why everyone should learn to drive in icy conditions, even if you live in Florida.
One day you'll go somewhere cold or a freak storm will happen and you'll never
know what it's like to drive on this white stuff!

Rule #1 NO ABS pump the brakes gently!
Rule #2 ABS step on the brakes firmly!!

I like the Black Ice experience. Not a firewall!

Like cabbies from the Middle East that have never seen snow and start driving right away!!!!
Man that bugs me!! Almost killed me too!

Good luck with your insurance and choosing a new ride.

Ugh, I hate [censored] angelfire. The second I post 1 picture, it says I'm over my damned bandwidth. Anyone here that can host these for me?
