I have not yet hooked them up to see how much heat they produce, you could always get a fan like people do when they mount there amp in a sealed area. If the amp is mounted in the factor amps spot you wouldn't have to rewire but you pushing more power threw that tiny factory wire. It might just be me but i would get some better wire to get the full potential out of the money you have invested in your cars stereo.
