i dont know.... the components you were looking at are rated at 180 watts max, while the amp pushes out 150 watts rms, pretty risky...

you just have to find the right amp to match the rms watt handling of your components. components that handle about 80 watts rms would be best with an amp delivering 70 watts to 100 watts rms, IMO. But hey, what do I know, I'm still running stock speakers and whatnot until I pay my bills. :-D

That's a very nice amp and probably the only one (Blaupunkt PA series) that will fit in the stock location and not overheat. I wouldn't hesitate to get it.
The components are fine, not outstanding, but a big improvement over stock with an amp pushing them. As far as power handling, just turn down the gains on the amp to compensate. No biggie.
I installed some Blau components (similar to these) in my little sister's car. They sounded better than I expected. The tweet was a little bright for my own personal tastes, but she loves 'em.

that might keep him from blowing his speakers, but the gains on an amplifier are by no means a volume control. they are used to match the voltage output of the head unit. just a heads up

Turning down the gains from the optimal setting (such as 4V pre-outs to a sensitivity setting of a 4V setting on the imput of the amp) will effectivly turn the amplifier into a lower powered version of itself. No harm will be done by doing this. In fact, it's likely safer for all components. There's little to no risk of clipping or the amp overheating = speakers happy.
Most people get into trouble by using the gains in the opposite means described trying to get more power out of an overtaxed amplifier. They'll run the amp into clipping (which means possible power output of twice its rating) which can then damage speakers (especially tweets).

i have been working with blaupunkt stuff for a while now. I looked into the PA series amps. The technicians at blaupunkt told me with and PA series amp you have a chance of losing you FM radio. So if you listen to cd's all the time or don't mind not having FM then i say do it. This problem they had with that series amp was never fixed and they now have a new line of amps. For Christmas I got 2 PCA 450's they are 4x50 or 2x150 at 4 ohms rms. I also got the same speakers you have listed but the OverDrive Line they handle a little more power and over a high grade speaker. The ones you have listed will be just as good. If you have anymore questions pm me or email me at Tim.Novak@MU.edu Oh, and I donā??t know how the amps or speakers sound because I havenā??t had time to install anything yet.

I find it difficult to believe an amp can put out enough RFI to wipe out FM reception, plus that would probably violate at least a few FCC rules...
