I'm glad u got your car running better. What kind of misfiring did u have, and did it trip the check engine light? I have a similar problem. When my check engine light went on I got a "random/multiple misfire" code.

I reset the code and it hasn't returned, but the car is not idling smoothly, it still misfires slightly at idle and low rpms.

Did u test your coil pack at all to determine if it was bad first? Mine checked out with the ohm meter, but not sure if that means it's fine. I'm hoping your situation was similar to mine, I might just try a new coil pack like you did.

I got a bad misfire with the CEL last week and have ordered a MSD coil. I'll let you know how it goes,,, my engine also doesn't idle great.

I think you're right.
It's installed, don't really no if it'll make any difference or not....
My engine under light push on the accelerator pedal stumbles. I am convinced this a intake manifold or vacuum leak, but neither I nor the shop can pinpoint it.

And didn't somebody say they couldn't get the stock connector onto the MSD coil? There is a rubber thing inside the MSD coil you gotta remove before you can push the connector in,, if that guy sees this......

Had the same prob...just removed it.

Kremit... we're both running autolite DP's and what u described sounds exactly like my problem.. hmmmm I may just pony up and try the motorcrafts. Let me know how the new coil works out. good luck

Well, that's the only time it happened and everything is good. I have an intake or exhaust leak hindering me, but that's another story. AFAIK, autolite and motoc are the same.
