with a blown engine locally. How hard would it be to put the engine out of my '95 Mystique in it? Would it basically bolt right in?

The SVT is only $700

id say for $700, id rather do a 3.0L swap in your mystique and still keep the same insurance rate by not buying an svt.

yeah, but my mystique has a salvage title, and the svt doesnt.

Only $700 for an SVT with just a blown motor? Run there with the money, then drop a 3L into it, or rebuild the motor with the bottom end of the 'stique and the top end of the SVT. Not exactly easy but you'd have a hella nice ride for really cheap. The suspension pieces are probably worth that, and you could probably part out the interior for much more too.

I paid $6k more for mine, but it still runs like new with 138k miles on it. I hope to see it to 200k miles in a couple years.

$700 for an SVT? I'd hit that. If I found another 95-97 Mystique for $700, I'd hit that too. I'd say hit it and never look back.

Buy, rebuild, resell...figure total investment of $3K-$4K, and I bet you could make a couple grand AT LEAST selling it.

You could buy the car and part it out, coming out WAY ahead If not, just do the swap or even better, trade the Mystique to a junkyard for a 3.0L out of Taurus Its nice to have options, isn't it!
