You shouldn't have to pay $40 for it... regular price is $9 apiece, and most states are less.
If you had any adverse action due to credit in the last 90 days, you are entitled to a free report from each of the agencies.
Besides, if you do get the off-brand ones, and they're wrong, you'll still need to get ones from the agencies, because there is no way to contact them or talk to them without their report in hand. I know this from experience with my mortgage. The reports my lender got were wrong (not enough to hurt me) and I still could not contact the agencies without buying reports.
