Well I think that leave you with a bad hard drive. It's a machine and as you know being a Ford owner, machines break. Still it would be fun to throw it out the window wouldn't it. Check
here for hard drive deals. Or if your not ready to give up yet borrow a drive from someone, install it and see if that does the trick but it sounds like you've covered all the bases.
