Well, I don't know about this kit, but I can't agree with your logic.

There is always a good thing that no one runs because no one else is running it. (Think, "Spax.")

Then one guy gets it, tells everybody how great it is, and then (depending on who it is) everybody wants one. (Think, "Bilstein.")

The other factors here are 1) it's not designed for SVT's and thats what a lot of CEG'ers are driving, and 2) cost. Lots of people either a) run without a heat shield, b) fashion their own heat shield out of Wal-mart parts, or c) buy a cheap heatshield from someone else.

Still, that doesn't mean that it wouldn't work incredibly well, but with such a small performance gain potential at the intake anyway, most people aren't going to spend that kind of dough to get it.

The filter is small, the shield is a very poor design and the price outragous. The best bet for intakes, in regards to performance and price, is the K&N ru-3530 filter, a big MAF adapter and a homeade heatshield. Total cost: 60 bucks and equal or better performance gains than any other kit.

lol the old rubbermaid garbage can under the hood, sorry but i just don't like that look plus for us folks that have emmisions to deal with the k&n system is c.a.r.b exempt which means the intake sytem will pass the visuall check part of the emmisions testing.

um ok we have k&n filters with our homemade setups too...so they are exempt as well.....and you argue with all of us every time someone posts about this, about how great your OVERPRICED intake is....and your rubbermaid comment is also stupid,my heat shield looks just as professional as yours does i guarantee it,it is made from a rubbermaid dish tub...and if i didn't tell you it was made from that you would think i bought it like that, and the even better part is i only paid $3 for it,and $1 for the paint to paint it....

you shouldn't judge someone else's handy work, when you have never even seen some of them...by the way SOME people are actually capable of making something themselves, that looks professional...don't insult our hard work, because you paid waaaaaay too much for an underachieving intake...

Damn straight!

This is a trashcan. I paid 3 bucks for it. And I think it looks as good as any functional heatshield out there.

EXACTLY! Why bother arguing, you and countless others have the best bang-for-buck intake. Let him rant about the trash can thing all he wants, his loss. I have a Rubbermaid set-up on both of my Contours and they look good and perform great.

you don't get carb exemption simply cause you have a K&N filter you get a exemption sticker for the whole intake system. K&N makes exempt systems and non exempt sytems. i am not knocking your garbage can by the way yours actually looks pretty nice others i seen look like trash, and amen for people like you that are inventive enough to come up with your own stuff.
