So with that thinking, our total 2.5L engine size is really *does the math in the head* 30.0L engines!!! Whoa!! We have big engines!!!! Actually the liter size is the total of all the pistons bore/stroke, like you described. So, really, each pistons is approx. .4XXL

And I remember this discussion before I believe either on the onld Delphi SHOtimes board or SHOforum.com that the 3.4L V8 and the 2.5L Duratec share the same bore/stroke. In essence (IIRC) the 3.4L is a 2.5L with two cylinders added to it (minuse the intake tract, etc)
