So you built an entire "bullet-proof" engine for under a grand! (block, heads, crack, rods, pistons, valves, cams, etc, etc, etc)

Please let me know where you found all these exceptionally cheap parts. Heck let EVERY Zetec owner know I am sure they would all love to be building engines for under a grand.

Heck you can't even build a solid Duratec for much under $1200 and that uses stock rods & pistons. (though both have supported over 400 HP & 8k+ rpm so...)

Right now, I honestly don't know. But my guess is high 12's. Last time I ran, with a different chip tune and with only 4# pulley for an additonal 4 lbs of boost for a total of 12 psi. I ran a 13 flat in the dead heat of summer in florida. Which with the same combo, thousands of people are running 12.7-9's (just in a little colder conditions. I have more mods and new tranny. The "bullet proof" tranny in now is insane to drive in traffic with chip on even in street mode, so I drive with chip off. I have 6# pulley now and a different tune on my chip. I want to change that tune again and get it dyno tuned finally. So I can run at optimal conditions/times. With the 6# pulley ( 14 psi )and less mods than me. My friends truck and my parts he ran a 12.5. I would like to run 14 psi daily and run mid to low twelves. But for now I am still on 12 psi and who knows what times. I am going back on Jan 17, to run my friends stang. So we will see then. Hopefully, I can get some time on the dyno to post some numbers for ya. But bone stock I posted 344 rwhp and 441 rwtq. Most 00 Lightnings post 324 rwhp and 421 rwtq. So out of the box mine was a little stronger than most. Not insanely better but enough that you could notice. When I am done modding the L, I want to be running 12's on 22's. And around 450-500 rwhp. Which should be low to mid 11's on Dr's. Nothing insane but enough to have fun with. Anyways, sorry for the long story. But I want the contour to run as close to 12's as possible. If that is even possible. Not sure but I want to try. LOL

Yep...well pretty close

Eagle conrods $309 shipped from ebay
Forged aluminum piston fron Focus Central $380
Stock Focus Crank/Block Freebie
Billet steel Mains(not on your list by the way) $250
Balance and Blueprint(the machine shop also sourced the Bearings) $250

Total about 1200

I didn't include the coatings from swaintech but that also wasn't on your list.

I imagine this combo should easliy sustain 500 HP...now getting the bulldog box and stage II axles to hold up to that(not to mention the intermediate shaft) is going to be the tricky part.
