Nvidia's FX line is not a great product line. Check the prices out on this page. Look at the prices for the TI line of cards. That product line is over a year old now. That's pretty old for video cards. They are still fetching a fairly high price compared to the FX cards. Why? Because they are faster than most of the FX line without the AA and ansio filters on.
Anandtech These tests shows the TI4200 outperforming the FX5200 Ultra in every test even with the filters turned on. The FX line was an incomplete product rushed to market and shows it.
ATI for me please!

Do not go with the 5200.... get a 9100 or something better, like those TIs that I reckon are better.

The Geforce TI cards are very good cards but they are not DirectX 9 compliant. That's not a big deal yet and as slowly as the D9 standards are being adopted by the game makers who knows when it will be. I bought a ATI 9500 Pro about 7 months ago to replace my TI 4200 because I was worried about not having D9 card. The 4200 is in the kids computer and runs NFSU (D9 game) as well as my 9500 does.
I suckered in by the marketing I guess.

Have a TI4600 here, and no DX9 issues at all.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like I'll end up going with the ATI at this point. I really only watch DVDs and such on the box it's going in. The closest I'd get to gaming on this machine is Q3 arena. Now, when I build my next box, an ATI 9800 pro will probably be in order.

Just to throw this out, mircocenter has the ATI 9800 PRO 128mb card for $239. Maybe a little more that you were looking to spend but a damn good card for a damn good price. I have this card and love ot to pieces.

Or you could buy from staples and use there %110 pricematch gaurantee.

Just shooting some ideas your way.
