Maybe a dumb question but did you verify that any EQ/tone controls are in the middle?

Thanks for the idea. All wires I connected are correct.

The amp bypass connector <--- that may just be the problem wires missed matched due to the connector.

All EQ/tone controls are set properly. Double and Triple checked that first. Then checked all my connections.

Amp bypass connector -- there is probably my problem. I am going to have my stereo guy check it all out today. I was hoping that maybe someone else would have had this same problem and knew the solution.

Well just an update... my stereo guy says everything is fine.. only that the HU puts out so much bass that the stock speakers can't handle it so therefore it distorts extremely bad.

And to either get new speakers or run an amp to the fronts and rears with a high pass feature.

Time to start looking for some speakers and amp then.

Turn down the bass. I had to also, Seems that a head unit, with a built in amp, that pushes 60x4 is just a bit two powerful for most speakers. If you turn down the bass it should be fine, then later get better speakers. I did, and never regreted it, spent about $300 on front and back speakers. Sounds amazing now.

yeah but thats 60x4 maxx. rms it should be 15-20 average.

I have the bass all the way down. And it still distorts at only like 20-21 volume.
