I don't use windows, so my OS is just as stable is OSX. From my "always-on" computer:

The last reboot was October of 2002, and that was because I had to take out some hardware. I can't crash my OS unless I purposefully break it Oh, yeah, I don't have to pay for any of my software, either, and its all legal, too. Except for games which I do buy since no one is giving those away
