well, you did get screwed.
but man, that was 1989 for crying out loud. you sure do know how to hold a grudge though ahah. i think the computer world is alot more stable now, and people can now know and anticipate when computer architecture will change. i think you are right about the ipods though...they are kind of pricey (btw, the 20 gb is 400...). i think there may be a price drop after MWSF 2004 though, along with the introduction of "mini" ipods which will be 1gb - 4 gb and will be cheaper...
