Well, as far as the tires are concerned... I run Azenis (225/45/17) at all times here in FL... and those tires have a ridiculous amount of stopping grip. With the intrax and bilsteins, the car has no brake dive, and with the amazing grip of the azenis... I cook the stock braking setup with ease. Right now I have the bendix titaniums... and they work quite well, but are not up to the task of the high speed stop-and-go/highway/track driving here. I wonder if baer would know what the weight difference is... i'll try giving them a call.
